In Spain it is customary, when you have to organize administrative matters, to take care of a so-called gestor. The Spanish term for this is “gestoría”. Our gestor is located at our Barcelona office, and can take care of these obligations for you. If you are active in any way with your company in Spain, you will have to deal with a number of administrative and tax obligations. For example, if you have a Spanish company, you need to keep accounts, quarterly and annual tax duties. It is important that this be carried out correctly and in a timely manner, in order to avoid possible fines and possible liabilities. If you have working staff in Spain, you must keep a payroll administration. Our office can also be of service to you. There are also other situations in which you have to deal with tax obligations, for example if you own a property in Spain. You then have to file a tax file within the Spanish tax authorities. We can take care of this declaration for you.
Your gestor in Spain A gestor acts as an intermediary between you and the official authorities. This person will take care of all your paperwork, communication with the Spanish tax authorities and other government agencies, as well as bookkeeping and payroll as you have already read above. This is useful if, for example, you do not know the Spanish language. The gestor is also the expert in communication and solving issues with the tax authorities.
